(kind of) midway reflections

I’ve got to a point where all I can think of is the film. I wake up thinking about it, I go to bed and I have a really hard time falling asleep because I am constantly thinking and rethinking everything. Yesterday I even installed google sheets on my phone so I can update my production sheet every time I have an idea – without risking forgetting it.

I have also been burning that midnight oil this last week and yesterday I decided I want to animate a shot using Cinema 4D. It’d be good to contextualise that I have close to no experience on the software (why Inês?! why?!) so I am naturally panicking a little bit. However, I do have some very valid – and hopefully logic – reasons to do this:

  1. I have always wanted to learn it, and the shot I decided to do will actually be very simple shapes wise if I use C4D.
  2. I am hoping that the time I lose learning what I need to get the shot done will still be less time than animating the whole shot in 2D.
  3. No need to go back to colour – it’ll render completely finalised so (fingers crossed) yay!

It’s all really hectic at the moment and I cannot really find the time to stop to think and write, but I’ll try to come back soon with more stuff!
